If you're new around here, you may not know yet that I am a sports fan (for those of you that have been around, this is no shock to you). I'm a HUGE sports fan. I like them all. There are some that I prefer over others, but if I can score free tickets to a game, you bet your ass I'm there.
I'm from Oklahoma, and we have now TWO professional sports teams. Tonight is game 3 of the NBA playoffs of the OKC Thunder (THUNDER UP!) and the Denver Nuggets. I'm just glad that the mid-season trades happened the way they did because I don't know that it would be as lopsided as it is. We're up 2-0 in the series, with the third game starting now-ish. The Spurs/Grizzlies game is still on so I can't see it.
I got to go to my girl friend from high school's son's birthday party today (did you follow that?). Lucus turned 3 back in March, and his dad just got home from Iraq (he serves in the Marine Corps). I tell ya, get a 3 year old a pinata. It was straight up comedy watching all the kids trying to break it.
Once I got back from the birthday party, we colored Easter eggs. I made a really pretty blue one with a pink tint, and I already broke it :(
I wanted to cry because I spent a lot of time on it to make sure that it was pretty! It was so sad.
Once we got done dying eggs, I spent the remainder of the evening addressing envelopes for my graduation announcements. I'm so over it already. My brother and I both graduate in 20 days (holy crap!!) and we have a lot of family members. I think I will have just my grandmother and my other brother at my graduation, but it will be all good. I'll have a nursing school graduation that the should all be able to come to :)
I'm super pumped for Monday! I get to see Ke$ha in concert in Tulsa!!! I love Ke$ha almost as much as I love sports! It'll be a bad ass concert.
I know this post is random and kind of all over the place, but that's just how my weekends are when I'm at home :)
Happy Easter everyone!

February 9, 2011 marked the day my heart was broken.
Dear Friends,
I just wanted to inform you that around 4:30 p.m. (CST) on February 9, 2011, my heart was hurt forever. If you haven't been following me very long, go back and read this post. I'll wait until you get back.
doo doo doo, doo-da-doo doo doo, doo-doo-doo-doo-DOO doo-doo-doo
(Jeopardy! theme song)
Okay I'm done being silly. Back to heart hurting.
So as I read that again, I realized that post did not give my obsession with kay-ee-dollarsign-ha any justice. Seriously, I have been obsessed with her since "Tik Tok" came out. As soon as the album came out, I bought it on iTunes. Because I bought it on iTunes, I got a free download of a remix of "Blah Blah Blah." Because I was a fan of her on twitter, I joined her fansite. Then because I was a member of the fansite, I got a free download of "We R Who We R." Then she released album number two, and you best believe I paid almost $10 for 9 songs, with one of those 9 being a remix of a song off her first album. To say I'm a fan is an understatement.
To me, parties are not complete without a couple Ke$ha songs on the playlist. Mixed CD's are not complete without an upbeat Ke$ha song (even if it's a playlist to tell someone you're secretly in love with them). I love the beats, and the lyrics are so damn catchy that I find myself singing them all the time!
What I love about Ke$ha is that she is a crazy drunken (maybe coked-out) girl, and she knows she is and is okay with it. She doesn't care. She's Ke$ha.
When I found out she was coming to Tulsa, I almost peed my pants. seriously. Her show was originally scheduled for a Saturday. To me, this was perfect because I could go home for the weekend, and maybe even drink a little at her concert.
BUT NO. Somewhere up the totem pole, they decided Ke$ha no longer needed a Saturday show in Tulsa, even though the tickets sold out the week they went on sale. Nope, her concert is now on a Monday. MONDAY! That's blasphemy.
But what does acrazy obsessed psycho fan do when a show is changed?

Tweet about it. Twice:
- @keshasuxx your Tulsa show changed dates? It being on a MONDAY is going to make it difficult for me to be able to attend :(
- @keshasuxx just crushed my dreams of seeing her in concert. I have been excited about this since November 19, 2010. :(
Then I went to her fansite and commented on the date.
Then my friends tried to cheer me up by posting parodies on my site. No thank you. As a crazy obsessed psycho true lover of all things Ke$ha, the parodies are insulting.
There may possibly still be a decently good chance I will go to the show. But now I don't know that I will get to go all out and dress the part, since I will have to leave OKC after classes and then return back to OKC so I can go to class on Tuesday (it's a 9:30 capstone class, no way I can skip *sadface*).
I guess we'll just see how much of a crazy obsessed psycho true fan/ lover of all things Ke$ha I am.
le sigh.

I heart school breaks!
SO. To prepare myself for the 3 hour drive that I was taking on today from Norman to Poteau, OK, I decided that today was the day that I would purchase the new Ke$ha CD Cannibal to add to my obsession with Ke$ha. I'm not going to lie, it was kind of difficult for me to pay $8 for a 9-track CD, especially with one of the tracks being a re-mix of Animal from her first CD, Animal. HOWEVER, I know that I love her music, and the new songs are just as addicting as the old ones, so I bit the bullet and bought it. The tracks have catchy beats and choruses. My personal faves are "Grow a Pear," "Sleazy," and "The Harold Song." "The Harold Song" is a little more of a ballad than the first two, but all in all, pretty decent songs. So what did I do? Jam out for 3 hours to Ke$ha. Be jealous :]
Once I arrived in Poteau, OK, my aunt took me out to Warehouse Willy's for a very delicious steak dinner. If you're ever in Poteau, I highly suggest visiting Willy's. They have a wide range of prices, and all in all they server what people would typically call "American" food: The three of us had steak, but it was hard for me to decide between the steak and chicken fingers. I had some chicken for lunch today so I decided to go with the steak. They also have quite a few burgers, and the last time I was there I got a barbecue brisket sandwich.
I then spent the rest of the evening hanging out with my great-aunt Linda just chilling and watching television. I think I'll be going to bed soon...it's been nice to kinda have the house with Linda to myself. It will get crazy tomorrow with ALL the family getting here, but I'm pretty excited about the madness because Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays :]
p.s. I know for sure that Edith & MacKenzie won their first basketball game, still haven't heard about Jacob. He did get to play though. I'll try to update a little bit over the break, but I'm not making any promises because I cherish family time. HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
