This week's question is: What is your favorite childhood book/movie?
What I love most about Jaimie's responses to questions is that she almost always answers them with pictures. So here is my answer:
Book:
The reason why Where the Wild Things Are claims my favorite childhood book is because of my brothers.
As a child, I remember my grandma, aunts, and MAYBE my mom reading this book to the three of us before we went to bed. For some reason, this book was HILARIOUS to both of my brothers, and they would just laugh and laugh and laugh. Now I can't think of the book without thinking of the love for my brothers.
Movies (because I can never pick just one!)
I loved The Little Mermaid. Then I loved Aladdin because it was a Disney Princess that had dark skin like me. But then, then, Pocahontas came out. I thought I was Pocahontas.
And this also equates to basically any Disney movie, I loved it.
One of my favorite bloggers Erin from My Beautiful Disaster also tagged me in the 10 Things I Love post. I've been seeing this pop up on a lot of your blogs too, so I may not tag any people. Some are silly things, and some are serious!
1. Kit Kat Bars - I don't know why, but I'm OBSESSED. I can't get enough of them!
2. The picture is self-explanatory.

3. Gossip Girl, so addicted to the show. The books are decent too. And I'm a bit more obsessed with Penn Badgley than the show overall... delicious :)
4. Reading. A LOT.
5. Laughing. Uncontrollably.
6. Loving. Loving my friends and family with all of my heart. The idea of romantic love (I think).
7. My education :)
8. Clean sheets
9. Dresses, skirts, and girly clothing :) [I know that may come as a shock to some of you, but there's nothing like FEELING like a woman]
10. And last but certainly not least, my family :)

Oooh- my favorite childhood movie (with my sisters) was a tie between Wild Hearts Can't be Broken and the Nadia Comenici movie. Hundreds and hundreds of times, I tell you...
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along...
ReplyDeleteAnd I gotta mention...THE BOOK PICTURE! It's from a girl's Flickr stream that I adore, Bethan Phillips! (she originally took that photo...)

You are so cute- I love the movies you chose and why you loved them! And you reminded me of how much I love Kit Kats! They are way underappreciated!
ReplyDeleteI loved Where The Wild Things Are too!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite childhood book was There's A Monster At the End of This Book because it was my brother's favorite book and we read it so many times (it features Sesame Street characters, my favorite show as a child).
My favorite Disney movies were Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid :)
