I heart Fridays

Last night was a blast. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Michael, his two roommates, and all of their friends that I got to meet for the first time last night that I've heard so much about. We also had a few coworkers come out to the restaurant and have some drinks with him, so it was nice to visit with everyone! I'd like to say he had a great time on his birthday too, and there aren't any embarrassing stories to tell!

I stayed over at his apartment WAY too late last night, and got a very early phone call this morning from my aunt to discuss graduation plans. I was kind of out of it and I'm sure she could tell. I think she's going to be calling me after class gets out, but I can't remember when she said she would call me back.

I slept for about 7 hours until 11:30 this morning, and decided that I needed to get out of bed or I would sleep all day. I dropped roommate off at a luncheon she had, and then came back to the house and ate lunch, then went to my favorite crafting store to buy some paint for the top of my graduation cap. (Katy and I aren't talking about that word anymore.) I think it was my big Erika that suggested that I do an acorn for the top of my cap, and since I am not very creative at all I decided to go with it. I was going to do an acorn in my favorite color of purple, but then realized that purple would not show up very well on black. So instead, I decided to do it in my school colors. You can see the crappy quality picture that I tweeted here. I'm not very crafty/creative by any means, but I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

Oh, and I just realized you have no idea why an acorn. I'm in a sorority (in case you've forgotten), and we have a mascot. Our mascot is the squirrel for some pretty cool reasons that I'm not entirely sure if I'm allowed to speak of or not so it's better to be safe than sorry and just say the reasons are legit. Anyways, squirrels eat acorns, and an acorn is a whole heck of a lot easier to draw than a squirrel. Especially when you have the artistic talents of a 3 year old. I swear I have ADD today.

Anywho, now I'm going to the Health and Exercise Sciences Student Association picnic to enjoy a relaxing barbecue and some volleyball and what not while throwing back a couple cold brewskies. Then it's studying and packing almost all weekend to ensure that I don't fail and not get a diploma!

Happy weekending friends!
