I'm an alumni!

I know, I know that I have been a complete slacker all week. I had intended to post a couple of times, but really, I had nothing to write. My brain was completely lazy all week long. Tuesday morning I took my first test. It wasn't that difficult, and really you couldn't study for it. It didn't affect my grade in capstone either.

Wednesday, I slept in way later than I had intended to, and then ended up studying for the remainder of the day. However, I took a break that night to watch the OKC Thunder play game 5. It was fantastic :)

Thursday morning, I took a test at 10:30 a.m. I think it seriously took me 11 minutes to complete the test. It was a lot easier than the midterm in that class. I then went back to the house and studied for the remainder of the day until my test at 4:30 p.m. That test took about 30-40 minutes to complete, and I got a 90% on that one! However, that brought my grade to an 85% overall in the class. lame.

So Thursday evening, I went shopping to find a new dress and shoes to graduate in. I'm not usually successful with shopping at all. I found not one, but TWO new dresses within 20 minutes of getting to the store! Score! But the shoes gave me a hard time, I think I went to probably 6 different stores before I found a pair that went well with my dresses. So what was I to do on my last night in Norman? Hit up Campus Corner, of course! I called up a few friends and met them out at my favorite hangout for a few celebratory drinks. Afterwards, I went and hung out with my friend Michael ("Rags") until WAY too late. I enjoyed the night with him, but it also made me sad to know it was my last night in Norman.

Friday I had a Native American student recognition service, and then went to the Commencement ceremony to listen to the US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. It was a good speech, and he was actually pretty funny. OH, before I forget. Remember how my brother and I were graduating on the same day? Well, a majority of the family went to his graduation. Then my big tells me she has to work and won't make it. My roommate also had other stuff to do, so she couldn't make it to my ceremony where I got recognized. So needless to say, graduation has been an emotional drain on me. Well my big LIED to me and took work off to fly into Dallas, pick up her mom, and come to my ceremonies. So after the commencement, her mom took us out to dinner. I was very happy because more girls on our hall joined us for dinner :)

Saturday, I overslept, walked across a stage, packed, visited Rags for 15 minutes, and moved out of Norman for the last time. It still hasn't hit me yet because I just feel like I went home for the summer. But I know once August comes around, I'll be a mess.

The family had a barbecue for me when I finally made it back to Sperry. I was thoroughly exhausted and sat quiet for a lot of the night. Except when the family was cracking me up.

Yesterday, I attempted to sleep in, but got woke up by Jake. Then I got called into work. I still had stuff in the back of my car! I worked for about 8 hours and then came home to talk the living situation with my mom and grandma. Unfortunately, I have already moved in with one of my best friends. Not that I'm sad about living with him, I'm just sad that I don't get to stay with my family.

Now I'm looking for a salary job so I can start looking for a place to rent on my own while I try to get where I'm going. Anyone hiring? ha ha
